ABOUT THE ARTIST

 
 
Val Wright is primarily a plein air painter, captivated by the movement and repetition found in nature. To best capture the transient atmosphere of the natural world, Wright most often paints on location or from sketches she makes while outdoors.


She received her education at the Memphis College of Art and the American Academy of Art in Chicago. She has studied with Irving Shapiro and Milford Zornes.


Wright is a member of the Watercolor USA Honor Society and a signature member of the
